For successful structural fire protection, building elements must be designed in such a way that they meet all relevant building regulations, standards and high requirements. This is the only way to ensure their functional efficiency even in the event of fire. Fire protection solutions by the PohlCon brand PUK
For example, you will find excellent function maintenance properties in the cable management systems by our PUK brand: the cable trays and cable ladders, vertical ladders and accessories in interaction with the correspondingly tested cables, ensure reliable power and data routing for a long time even inthe event of fire. We offer product solutions for cable systems with integrated maintenance of function, tested and approved in accordance with DIN 4102-12 - both for normed supporting constructions and for specified support systems in various cable laying variants. Our cable management systems for escape and rescue routes in accordance with the Model Cable Systems Directive (MLAR) can be used safely during a fire exposure of 30 minutes.
Fire protection solutions by the PohlCon brands JORDAHL and H-BAU Technik
Fire protection also plays a major role at PohlCon in the area of shell construction and facade. For example, the load-bearing capacities for the JTA anchor channels by our brand JORDAHL have been confirmed for a fire resistance class of up to R120 in extensive fire tests in accordance with EOTA TR 020. This is particularly important, as anchor channels are often concreted into the reinforced concrete structure to attach safety devices such as fire protection gates or sprinkler pipes to them. Also, the fastening of other components such as facade elements or technical installations must not fail in the event of a fire and block escape routes or injure occupants.
In conjunction with shear dowels, H-BAU offers a fire-protection sleeve that foams up in the event of a fire and thus completely seals construction and expansion joints. With the aid of the sleeve tested in accordance with DIN 4102-2, the load-bearing capacity of building structures in escape and rescue routes is ensured with a fire resistance duration of 90 minutes. This also applies to ISOPRO® thermal insulation elements in the REI120 fire protection version, which have been tested in accordance with DIN EN 13501-1. The thermal insulation elements thus prevent the passage of flames or hot gases from floor to floor for 120 minutes at full load-bearing capacity and ensure escape and rescue routes.
