It has long been proven that noise can make people ill. In this respect, effective sound insulation has a direct influence on the quality of life, especially when it comes to the “retreat home”. Sound insulation therefore plays a major role, especially for stairwells. For this reason, PohlCon has completed its product range for staircases with the new SINTON® Q for spiral staircases.
Maximum flexibility
The SINTON® Q impact sound insulation element from our brand H-BAU Technik was developed for the sound decoupling of spiralled stair flights as well as stair landings and supported arcades. The system consists of a load-transmitting round mandrel, a vibration-damping wall bearing and a running sleeve with reinforcement cage. Regardless of whether the adjacent wall is made of reinforced concrete or masonry, SINTON® Q provides more planning reliability for both in-situ concrete and prefabricated stairs.
Perfect for the sound insulation of spiral staircases
The SINTON® Q1 version responds to the specific challenges of spiral staircases with a reinforcement cage that can be tilted by up to +/- 8°. In this way, it can be individually adapted to the on-site reinforcement. The solution also meets the highest demands in terms of fire protection. With the help of an optional fire-protection sleeve, fire resistance class R120 can be realised for joint widths of up to 60 mm.
SINTON® Q has a high load-bearing capacity and is available for different joint widths up to 120 mm both in the Q1 version for positive shear forces and in the Q2 version for positive and negative shear forces.
For quietness in adjacent living areas
As confirmed by the accredited test laboratory EMPA Zurich, the increased requirements of DIN 4109-5 are far exceeded. SINTON® Q reduces impact sound by up to 34 dB. This means that even the highest requirements of the VDI or DEGA regulations can be met.
In addition to the new system, the SINTON® product family also includes solutions for the sound-insulated connection of landings (SINTON® X) or the reliable support of prefabricated stair flights (SINTON® Z and ZB). The self-adhesive and flexible insulation plate SINTON® S is used to seal joints between stair elements and walls.
