Walk of WagnerBayreuth, Germany

To celebrate the 200th birthday of world-renowned composer Richard Wagner (1813-1883), tourists and residents in Bayreuth can now follow in his footsteps. The "Walk of Wagner" starts at the former Wagner family home, Haus Wahnfried, and ends at the popular festival theatre. A total of 16 plastic Wagner figurines line the tourist route through the town centre. The "mini Wagners" crafted by artist Ottmar Hörl stand on concrete cubes with information boards that provide an insight into the life and legacy of the composer.

H-BAU Technik supplied square RAPIDOBAT® shuttering tubes for this unusual project. These were used to cast the concrete pillars on top of which the mini Wagners are attached.
